Winner of Emerging Designer of the Year at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week
Stephanie Henly was selected to showcase her graduate 'Long-Stitch' collection at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) for the 2016 Emerging Runway.
Stephanie Henly was then selected by a respected and influential fashion panel as the winner of Emerging Designer of the Year.
Sponsored by The City of Melbourne and Textile Fashion Initiative Australia.
The Council of Textile & Fashion were proud to be a part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2016, supporting the MSFW Emerging Student Designer Award. The Initiative saw students from Melbourne's leading fashion schools showcasing their creativity on the runway, and offered an exciting snapshot into the future of Australian fashion.
The standard and quality of designs were outstanding. As part of the judging panel, we were inspired to hear the designers' concepts and processes behind their ranges. Congratulations to all the students involved and the winner, Stephanie Henly (design pictured above) from RMIT. We look forward to working with Stephanie and all her contemporaries as they develop within the industry.
